Do you ever just get tired of yourself? I’m afraid I’ve become a repetitive bore already. The past week was full of so many small but significant moments. Someone I know is starting a new chapter in their life that will completely change their day-to-day. It is something that all of us in corporate life are technically working toward. I’m quite jealous of the prospect, but also wish it would happen sooner for everyone. Why should we wait to really rest and enjoy more freedom in our lives? It is partially our fault for making decisions that tie us to things where we inevitably give up control and flexibility, I suppose. I’m hanging on to some last-minute whimsical decisions I made this past week. Maybe you’ll be there. I hope you are. I’m mainly excited to experience some specific music that brings me joy up close and personal for the first time. It’s only the first time due to perpetual schedule conflicts. It finally worked out.
It is funny how opening yourself up to more people sometimes brings in the craziest opportunities. Kismetly, I made yet another friend who I’m texting silly things to daily. It’s been at playground-level quick, but with adult money and capabilities. I highly recommend letting go with the flow next time you instinctively want to put your guard up. Here’s to continued whimsy and finding partners in crime to enjoy things with!
Now let’s go play knights and defend a castle!
